Community Involvement
Since our entry into the North West Junior Hockey League last year, our team and community have set a new standard not only in the level of competition, but also in the level of community spirit. I was both proud and humbled by the support of our community as the team marched through the league ranks on their way to the league final and with last years success as our foundation.
In addition, our organization has made great strides with regard to our own community involvement. The Wolverines recognize the fact that there are a great many groups within our region that work hard for our youth and it is our pleasure to be associated with these organizations. This is why this year the Wolverine organization is proud to be associated with;
• Tennille’s Hope
• The Whitecourt Boys and Girls Club
• The Whitecourt Minor Hockey Association
• The Percy Baxter Hockey Academy
• The Girl Guides of Canada
• The Royal Canadian Army Cadets
• Wellspring Women’s Shelter
• St. Josephs School
We ask all of our fans to remember the work these respective organizations do within our community and if you are able to give in any way you can to help them make our community stronger and safer for all of us.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers who without their incredible support, we would not be able to bring you the Wolverines. It is with their help that we are able to not only bring you the best hockey team in the league, but at the same time lend assistance to so many charitable organizations.
- Thank You, Brent Stark
